The Curtis 1219-8406 Controller is a DC Series Motor Speed Controller designed for heavy-duty industrial vehicles, cross-referenced to HELI part number DQKC-025. It supports 36V/48V battery systems with a 600A 2-minute rated current. Typical uses include traction motor speed control for HELI electric forklifts, as well as pallet trucks, forklifts, stackers, reach trucks and other industrial vehicles.

Curtis has discontinued original production of the 1219-8406. Units currently offered are aftermarket replacements manufactured in China. These replacement units claim identical dimensions and functionality to the original unit and support programming via the Curtis 1313-4331 handheld programmer or Curtis 1314 PC programming station.

Featuring power MOSFET and microprocessor-driven control technology, this controller integrates overvoltage/undervoltage protection, thermal protection, fault diagnosis, arc-free contactor switching, plug braking, neutral braking, emergency reverse and anti-rollback functions. It is well suited for industrial vehicles requiring high-current traction control.
